Our first St. Joseph FNE meeting of the new program year will be Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph gym. This will be a full group meeting with Otters, Timber Wolves, and Explorers all taking part. We will begin together with a flag ceremony, prayer, and the Explorer Promise before breaking into activities for the different age groups.
The evening will be a mix of formation, skill-building, and fun. The boys will begin learning their promises, start forming patrols, play some active games, do a little planning, and work on a simple leathercraft project to make their woggles. The goal is to start the year by helping the boys understand that FNE is not just a series of meetings, but a program built around faith, responsibility, practical skills, friendship, and adventure.
Parents and other adults are encouraged to think about how they might support the St. Joseph FNE Group during the year. That could mean helping teach a skill, assisting with a meeting, sewing or leatherwork, helping with food or transportation, joining us on an outdoor adventure, or simply sharing a talent with the boys. Our next major adventure will be a campout at the Oregon coast, and more information about upcoming meetings and events can be found on the group calendar.
